The Philips Light Sensing Countdown Timer is a reliable and efficient device that allows you to control your lights or devices remotely. With its easy-to-use interface and advanced features, this timer is perfect for outdoor lighting applications.

To start using your timer, remove the old battery and replace it with a new Type 3V (CR2032) lithium battery in the battery compartment. Make sure to observe the positive (+) side up as indicated inside the compartment. When handling batteries, avoid exposing them to fire or other heat sources.

The timer has four operating modes: 8 hours, 6 hours, 4 hours, and 2 hours. Once you set your desired mode, the program will activate at dusk and remain on for the selected duration. After the cycle is complete, the timer will shut off until darkness is restored. In the sensor (dusk-to-dawn) mode, temporary light sources like headlights, porch lights, or other external light sources won't interfere with the photocell function unless they are turned on for more than 15 minutes.

When set to 'ON', the timer will provide continual power to attached devices until you switch it off or change the operating mode. In case of a power failure, the timer will stop operating, and you'll need to reset the desired operating mode once power is restored.

The Philips Light Sensing Countdown Timer also features daily repeat after setting, ensuring that your lights or devices turn on automatically at the same time every day. Additionally, it's suitable for use with outdoor appliances and can control electrical outlets up to a distance of 100 feet.

For optimal performance, plug the lights or devices you wish to control into one of the timer's outlets. You can also mount or hang the receiver on a wall near a GFCI-protected outlet (125V 60Hz), which will power the receiver's cord.

Please note that the device must be mounted in a vertical position with the receptacle facing downward and at least 2 feet above ground level for rain-tight performance. It is also essential to use this timer only with a three-conductor GFCI-protected outlet.
